(Example) Rule XX Discussion
- Steve Hay: I think Rule XX might lead to problems YY and ZZ. Maybe we should write the rule this way:
"Blah blah"
- Other Guy: I like it the way it is because of XX and YY. But I see your concern. How about this?
"Blert Blert"
This is weird.
Steve Hay: Mike, I saw your comment in tracked changes but it is not here. Weird. You said something like, "People should not be allowed to anonymously edit." I'll see what I can do about that tonight. It should be at least in the Wiki rules that anonymous editing is not allowed, if software cannot help us. I'm reluctant to force everyone to have an account/password unless we really have to go there.
Revision wars
Steve Hay: I had an idea last night to treat contentious areas with a box to highlight them as places where you should not revise anyone else's words because the topic is under contention. Areas in a box would be considered rough drafts and a work in progress to an eventual good answer. Like right now I think the green/roasted storage areas would probably get boxed.
The more I think about it though, the more I think those topics might deserve their own page to give the ideas expressed justice and ensure they are presented in a consolidated and clear way.
